Adopted son is starved [VIDEO]. Child abuse allegations about an adopted son starved and allegedly abused rocked the town of North Mankato, Minn. this week.
According to criminal charges, the boy was so malnourished his bones protruded and he weighed as much as a child half his age.

Hauer and Russell Hauer of North Mankato have each been charged with
six felonies, including neglect and malicious punishment of a child.
The complaint says the boy weighed 34.8 pounds when he was brought to the hospital last month. Go here to read more and see the video.
